OnePlus12 global launch expected early next year

As part of its tenth-anniversary celebration, OnePlus is set to unveil the highly anticipated OnePlus 12 at a grand event in Shenzhen, China, on December 4. Positioned as the successor to the current flagship, OnePlus 11, the upcoming smartphone has already had some key specifications confirmed by the company. OnePlus recently provided details about the device's camera capabilities, including a noteworthy 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens for an enhanced photography experience.

The OnePlus 12 boasts a ProXDR display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, making it a visual delight. Notably, it is the first in China to feature a 2K resolution display, earning it DisplayMate's A+ rating. The device will also incorporate Sony's LYT-808 primary sensor, contributing to its advanced imaging capabilities.

Other anticipated features include a DisplayMate A+ rated X1 "Oriental Screen," Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 out-of-the-box, and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone is expected to house a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide telephoto shooter, likely the Sony IMX581.
